It's too big
how come it's too big since MQ-8C is big (for drone) i speak about attack drone based on Ka-50 since Ka-50/52 modular design would allow fast conversion
it seams that someone forgot this little fact on Ka-52

командирская машина армейской авиации, осуществляющая разведку местности, целеуказание и координацию действий группы боевых вертолётов.
so basically ka-52 will go back to its roots of command and control unit
it would control a squad of unmanned Ka-50's or it would work in pair with one instead of manned units
for instance AH-64E is able to control UAV's
you have ПрПНК-80 and ПНК-800 (i dun know if they are the same as on the 52) you have the ability to communicate between units and on and on
this quote is perfect example of why i think that would be great possibility since the boys from kamov have some 50's that have nothing to do why not use the already existing experience from Ka-37/137 and the other unmanned projects

Поиск целей для Ка-50 осуществляется с помощью внешнего целеуказания, которое может выдаваться специальным вертолетом-разведчиком, однотипным вертолетом, боевой машиной авиационного наводчика, а также другими авиационными или наземными средствами.
tell me where is the economical reasoning behind two projects from the zero that would eat too much money and why not replacing it with one or at least making a technical demonstrator of a concept superior of any existing platform to date
the unmanned platforms in Russia are subject on which is working since the 60's
Buran's automation is perfect example of what the Russian intellect can achieve
even with old material base and we are living in 2016 today you have several armored unmanned platforms in variety of sizes that are undergoing Government tests the same rule apply's to the БПЛА's here i'm not speaking of non existent platform i'm speaking of unmanned variant of already existing one not of hypothetical one so you have the same weapon's what can a unmanned Ka-50 do
the same that an Ka-52 can do
